How much does a new roof cost in Hervey Bay?

Are your quotes really free?
Yes — completely free, on-site, with no obligation. We measure, inspect, talk through your options, and leave you with a detailed written quote. No deposit, no pressure, no follow-up hassling.
Will there be surprise costs once work starts?
No. Our quotes are detailed and itemised, and the price we agree on is the price you pay. In the rare case we uncover something unforeseeable (like hidden structural damage), work stops and we talk to you first — nothing extra happens without your sign-off.
The Work
How long does a re-roof take?
Most residential re-roofs take 3–5 days depending on size, complexity, and weather. You’ll get a clear timeline with your quote — and if anything changes, you’ll hear it from us first.
Repair or replace — how do I know which I need?
That’s exactly what our free inspection answers. If a repair will genuinely do the job, that’s what we’ll recommend — we don’t sell re-roofs to people who don’t need them. When a roof is at the end of its life, we’ll show you why and quote both paths where it makes sense.
What roofing materials do you work with?
We work primarily with Colorbond and metal roofing — the best fit for coastal Queensland conditions — along with guttering, downpipes, and wall cladding systems. Every material we install is selected for salt air and high wind ratings.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not unless you want to be. As long as we have safe access to the roof and power, most clients go about their day. We’ll keep you updated and walk you through the finished job.
Licensing, Insurance & Guarantees
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Atlas Roofing is fully QBCC licensed and carries public liability insurance. You’re protected from the moment we step on site, and we’re happy to show you the paperwork.
What does your workmanship guarantee cover?
Every job comes with a written guarantee on our workmanship — if something we installed or repaired fails because of how we did it, we come back and make it right. Material warranties from manufacturers (like Colorbond) apply on top of that.
Storms, Insurance Claims & Emergencies
Do you handle insurance claim work?
Yes — we regularly work with homeowners on storm and cyclone damage claims. We can inspect the damage, document it properly, and provide the reports your insurer needs to get your claim moving.
Do you offer emergency repairs?
We do. If you’ve got water coming in or storm damage that can’t wait, call 0477 168 747. We offer emergency callouts and will make your roof safe as quickly as possible.
What should I do if my roof starts leaking?
