Atlas Roofing inspects roofs across Hervey Bay and the Fraser Coast, covering sheeting, flashings, fasteners, gutters and visible structure. On-site quote inspections are free and carry no obligation. Inspections are commonly used before buying or selling a property, after storms, and to support insurance claims.
Most roof failures give plenty of warning if someone looks. Surface rust starting at the laps, fasteners backing out, sealant that has gone hard and cracked, ridge capping lifting at the ends: all of it is visible and cheap to address years before it turns into a ceiling repair.
A pre-purchase inspection is the highest-value version of this. A roof at the end of its life is a five-figure item that rarely shows up in a standard building report with any real detail. Knowing before you sign changes what you offer, or whether you offer at all.
You get a plain-English report with photographs: what is sound, what needs attention now, what to budget for in a few years, and what we would do about it. If your roof is fine, the report says so. We are not looking for work that is not there.

How often should a roof be inspected in coastal Queensland?
Every one to two years for most Fraser Coast homes, and after any severe storm. Salt air corrodes coastal roofs measurably faster than inland ones, so problems that would take a decade elsewhere can develop in a few years here.
Do I need a roof inspection before buying a house?
It is worth it. A roof at the end of its life is a major cost that a standard building report often covers in a single line. Knowing the real condition before you sign gives you either a negotiating position or a reason to walk.
Will you tell me my roof is fine if it is fine?
Yes. If a roof does not need work, the report says so. We would rather you call us in three years for the job you actually need than sell you one you do not.
